Using RepoGo

Terminal and files

The project's tab bar stays expanded as you scroll.

Terminal#

The Terminal tab opens a shell on your computer in the project's folder. You can open several sessions.

Files#

The Files tab shows the project's folder as a tree. From it you can:

  • Create a New File or New Folder.
  • Upload files or photos, or take a photo straight into the project.
  • Rename, Duplicate, Delete, Share, and copy or paste a file's contents.

Tap a file to open it in the editor. Tap an open file’s tab to switch to it; only the selected file is displayed. The app and App Clip both allow editing text files, with no read-only setting. Tap Save to write your edits to the environment. Markdown and other formats can switch to a rendered view, and long files have an outline.

Search in Files matches both file names and contents across the project, with an option to match case.

Actions#

The Actions tab appears automatically when the project has an actions.json file. It shows the commands declared in that file so you can run them from your phone. An empty or invalid file still shows the tab; open the file from the tab to fix it.

An action can load secrets from a .env file on any of your environments with envFrom. See Env sources.

Pages#

Your agent can save a card you'll want again, such as a status, a dashboard or a list, as a page in the project. It then replies with a button that opens the page, or shows the page right in the chat, instead of drawing a new card each time. A page can be:

  • a .ui file: native screens written in card markup;
  • a .md file: writing, with cards in it.

A page updates on its own when it changes on your environment. Pull down to refresh it and fetch its data again.

A page can link to files on your environment, and tapping one opens it in the app's file viewer: images, PDFs, video, CSV, SQLite and code. In a .md page, link to the file's path. A path is relative to the project's folder, or a full path on your environment. You can only open files RepoGo can already read there, such as your projects' files.

A page can also show a file right in it, without opening the editor: a PDF to scroll, an image, a video or audio to play, or a CSV or SQLite table.

Rows, buttons and images in a card can have a menu of their own: touch and hold one to see more actions, often with a preview of the web page, file or page it opens.

When you keep asking for the same thing, your agent offers to write a plugin that fetches it and a page that shows it, so you can open it from the chat without asking again.

A plugin can also stream, for things that keep coming, such as a server's logs or a build's output. A streaming list shows a green Live badge and stays on the newest line as new ones arrive; scroll up to read back. It runs only while you're looking at it: leave the page and it stops on your environment.
