Using RepoGo

Review and push changes

RepoGo uses git and the GitHub CLI (gh) on your computer, signed in as you. To set up GitHub, see Manage environments.

Review#

Tap Review in the composer to see every changed file as a tree, with a diff for each. Open in Editor jumps to the file.

A submodule or another git repository inside the project shows as a folder. Tap it to review that repository's own changes, and commit and push them there. Back in the project's review, the moved submodule is one more change to commit.

Commit and push#

Commit & Push commits everything with a suggested message, such as Update: 2 added, 1 modified, which you can edit, then pushes.

Pull requests#

  • On your default branch, Create Branch & PR moves the work to a new branch and opens a pull request.
  • On any other branch, Open Pull Request opens one for it.

Branches#

Tap the project title with the right chevron in Review Changes to open Branches in the same navigation stack. From there you can search and switch branches, create or delete one, Pull, or Pull & Discard Local to match the remote. New Branch pushes another screen; Back returns to the previous screen.

Tapping another branch asks you to confirm its name. Choose Switch to switch branches or Cancel to stay on the current branch.

Publish a new repository#

For a folder with no remote, Publish creates a GitHub repository for it. Choose whether it's public or private.
