Run the host on Linux
The host runs on Linux (Ubuntu 22.04 or newer) on arm64 or x64, including servers you reach over SSH. Install it the same way as on a Mac:
npx @repogo/hostStarting at boot#
On Linux the host runs as a systemd user service. So that it starts when the machine boots, not only when you log in, the installer turns on lingering for your user (loginctl enable-linger). If that needs root, it prints the sudo command to run.
Pairing a machine you reach over SSH#
The QR code prints in your SSH session like any other terminal, so you can scan it from your laptop's screen. If the terminal can't show it clearly, tap Enter Pairing Code in RepoGo and type the 14-character code instead.
For a server nobody sits at, a reusable invite saves you from logging in each time a new device needs to pair:
npx @repogo/host pair --reusable 14dYour agents#
Install and sign in to Claude Code or Codex on the server as the same user that runs the host. The host runs them signed in as that user.
