Using RepoGo
Agents starting agents
An agent in a RepoGo chat can start another agent's chat in the same project and read its answer. Ask for it in plain words:
- "Have Codex review this change."
- "Get a second opinion from Claude on this plan."
- "Start a new chat to look into the login bug; I'll pick it up later."
This works with Claude and Codex, and with your project's own agents.
Threads#
A chat an agent starts to help with its work is a thread of the chat that started it. It stays out of your chat list so the list keeps only your own chats. To find it:
- Open the chat that started it and tap the threads button left of the project above the message box, which shows how many there are, or tap ⋯, then Threads. Threads open in a sheet you can swipe down to close; tap one to read everything it did or send it a message, then go back to the list.
- Search finds threads too.
From a thread, ⋯ → Open Parent Chat takes you back.
When you ask for a chat of your own ("start a new chat for…"), the agent opens a normal chat instead, and it shows in your list.
Deleting a chat moves its threads into your chat list, so nothing they did is lost.
Limits#
- A thread can't have more freedom than the chat that started it. A chat in plan mode starts threads in plan mode, and a chat that asks before editing can't start one with full access.
- A thread can't start or message other chats itself.
- The new chat doesn't see the conversation that started it. The agent writes it the whole task.
These tools come with RepoGo's own tools on your environment, so they're on wherever RepoGo's tools are.
